For the first time we met with Robert, a leader of an influential Lebanese business organisation, already in July 2017 during our visit to Lebanon. In August Robert came to Poland.
We would not have met without recommendation of Mr Charbel Macron, Chargé d’Affairesa a.i. who manages the Embassy of the Republic of Lebanon in Warsaw. Robert set up his organisation several years ago, which today gathers several hundred of entrepreneurs acting at all continents, in particular at MENA region (Middle East and North Africa) and in South Africa. The Lebanese diasporas counts almost 16 million. This is 4 times more that native citizens of Lebanon.
Despite the fact that almost 3000 kilometres separates us, we found with Robert many similarities in our approach in building long term business relations; opening at the world respecting one’s own identity; deep respect towards partners and many more.
We organised a number of meetings for Robert with entrepreneurs from Bydgoszcz, Toruń and nearby locations. In Warsaw we met with the Vice-President of the Union of Enterepreneurs and Employers. We also visited together some entrepreneurships in Poznan.
Our Lebanese partner see big international potential in the Polish economy. As he prove himselves, he would not have spent over a month in Poland if that was not true. The area of potential cooperation is really vast.
The Polish side still lacks some courage and vision of expansion. Sometimes patience is missing as well. Unfortunately, soft skills, knowledge what is appropriate and when are missing too. Together with the team and partners, PECAC will develop know-how in the area of business development and will share it with the group members. Robert declared far-reaching support, what we are very thankful for.
